Showcase: Saturdays NYC
Saturdays and New York City are a couple of my favourite things in life, so when I came across this fashion label I had high hopes. And as you've probably guessed already Saturdays NYC know exactly what's good and it's why I keep finding myself browsing their site sniffing out the latest drops.
Saturdays NYC have an impressive range on offer and I 100% mean it. Basically, you could easily pick up your whole new wardrobe and some from them and there would be no need to look further. From their own suiting range, knitwear, swimwear and a selection of accessories like sunglasses & wallets your cart could be 10 items stong before you've even realised what's going on.
These guys have a good handle on the needs and desires of us modern gents and from all the clothing I've picked up & worn it's clear they consistently strive for a strong design aesthetic, and quality construction is stitched into everything they do and create.
Saturdays NYC have taken many of their design cues by looking back at the heritage of menswear which I'm appreciating. Think Double Breasted Blazers, Pleated Pants, Denim & Linen. With the huge rise in street and activewear infiltrating mainstream fashion I'm enjoying seeing some returns back to a refined and constructed approach with of course some modern flare.
Worn here are a few favs of mine, starting with the double-breasted blazer which has seen a big comeback in the past season and this cotton variety I've been wearing at both work and weekend occasions as it's light and easy to wear over a simple tee and gives your look some smarts.
I'm seeing more and more linen shirts and pants arriving in the men's category and I bought my first pair while in Mexico City last year which were a cool relaxed fit perfect for beach action. These pleated linen pants are about to get a lot of wear as us Kiwis enjoy our Summer holidays next week.
For those Kiwi followers, we've been having a brilliant start to our Summer season so no doubt you'll be needing some new shorts to live in here's a good selection of shorts to view.
